| (syn. Musa sp. Tibet or M. yunnanensis var. Yongpingense) One of the best-growing garden banana's - a 'must' for an exotic garden! So far no flowering record known. Cover abundantly with straw or conifer leaves in winter. Use bubble-plastic sheet as final "hat". Essential for exotic gardens. Apply in summer lots of manure and water. Without winter protection the plant may freeze back but usually recovers completely with new shoots in late spring after severe frosts.
